Paris

Former residents, Paris and Bellagio! Paris (female) and Bellagio (male) are two youngsters that were donated from an individual who is starting a breeding center for small endangered cats. She was not aware until acquiring these two that she is deathly allergic to ocelots. They have a distinct odor and spray heavily, which resulted in terrible allergic reactions by the owner. We used Paris for our education programs and as an ambassador to jungle projects that we support. She was a doll from the start and quickly found her way into the hearts of all the volunteers. She did school programs and was a dream for the kids to see up close with her beautiful markings. Bellagio on the other hand, being of a different lineage, has even more dramatic color in his spots and stripes, but was more high strung and we were concerned he would stress in outreach programs. Bellagio and Paris recently moved on to a facility more suitable for their original intention. After two years of searching for the perfect setting for Paris and Bellagio, their original owner made arrangements for them to go to a private facility in Oregon. In case you are wondering about their names: The breeding program they were intended for names their cats after hotels in Las Vegas, that way they will never run out of names!

Sounds

We don't have any recordings of Paris, she's quiet as a mouse!

  • Here is the sound that Bellagio makes constantly. It sounds like an aggressive growl, but is really his normal vocalization, even when he's happy.
  • Here is more of him, but a longer, larger file.
