Wild About Cats does not operate as a sanctuary. We offer available caging as a "waystation" for rescued cats that need some extra time until a permanent home can be arranged through our screening/approval process. We also have a few resident cats that act as ambassadors for fundraisers and outreach education programs. By only housing a few animals here, it helps us keep a low overhead and channel precious funds to appropriate causes. We will help with information to help interested people set up sanctuaries.
The way we look at it, we could easily fill all of our cages tomorrow with unwanted cats. But then we would not be able to help another for many years, until they reached the end of their lifespans. This way, we are able to help many cats on an ongoing basis and keep our expenses down.
Click on the cat's name for their story and photos and sounds of them. Asia (tiger), Simba (serval), Leo (African lion), Susie (cougar), Bellagio (ocelot) ,and Paris (ocelot) still have their pages here.
Currently these cats are not up for adoption, but many others are. For information on adopting a wayward cat on our list see our Adoption Agreement to apply. You will be asked for information such as your applicable permit numbers, photos of your available caging, references, etc.
