Bellagio

Bellagio

Former residents Paris and Bellagio. Bellagio (male) and Paris (female) are two youngsters that were donated from an individual who was starting a breeding center for small endangered cats. She was not aware until acquiring these two that she is deathly allergic to ocelots. They have a distinct odor and spray heavily, which resulted in terrible allergic reactions by the owner. Paris did great on a leash and acted as an ambassador cat doing school programs and fundraisers. Bellagio on the other hand, being of a different lineage, had even more dramatic color in his spots and stripes, but was more high strung and we were concerned he would stress in outreach programs. But he did a great job giving little Paris companionship, a playmate, and someone to snuggle with full-time. Bellagio and Paris recently moved on to a facility more suitable for their original intention. After two years of searching for the perfect setting for Paris and Bellagio, their original owner made arrangements for them to go to a private facility in Oregon. In case you are wondering about their names: The breeding program they were intended for names their cats after hotels in Las Vegas, that way they will never run out of names!

Sounds

  • Here is the sound he makes constantly. It sounds like an aggressive growl, but is really his normal vocalization, even when he's happy.
  • Here is more of it, but a longer, larger file.

  • Here is a baby shot of Bellagio from his original owner.
  • Here he is suckling on his toy he's had since he was on a bottle.
  • Here he is with Paris.
